Helen Tettey, a 37-year-old mother of ten and resident of Agormanya village in the Lower Manya Krobo district, gave birth to quintuplets (five girls). Tettey already had five children: three boys, and twin girls. Her latest delivery occurred between Tuesday, July 12 and Wednesday, July 13, 2022.
In an interview with Angel News, Madam Tettey said that she was told she was carrying three babies after a pregnancy scan; however, after complications arose during surgery, it was revealed that she was carrying five babies.
“I am troubled because I wasn’t expecting anything like this to happen. I don’t know what to do,” the frustrated mother indicated.
The mother of five children was obviously burdened. She has been raising her family by herself following the recent passing of her husband. Due to his death, she is under even more pressure as it is difficult to juggle being both a mother and father to the kids. In order to cope with all that has happened, Helen is asking for additional support in caring for the children – specifically in feeding them, providing for their education and taking care of their general medical needs going forward.
